Winter Workshop

Workshop Overview

The Florida Dance Association's College & Professionals Workshop is now the Florida Dance Association Winter Workshop! A two-day dance event for University/College students, dance professionals, and serious pre-professional high school juniors and seniors. The workshop includes dance classes, an informal performance showcase, audition and scholarships for summer intensives, and more. This year's host school is the Florida School for Dance Education in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Registration, Tuition & Fees

Please note that each college and university has a unique audition and application process. A representative will be available onsite to answer general admittance questions.

 

 Registration Fee: (non-refundable)

    Group Registration

FDA Member Institution - $50.00

Non-FDA Member Institution - $150.00

    Individual Registration

FDA Member - $15

Individual Registration - Non-FDA Member - $40

Tuition: 

Group $110 per Student

Individual Students (not affiliated with a school /group) $120.00 per student

 

Payment and Registration Deadline is January 10, 2019. After January 10 a late fee $10 will be added to all registrations. (New and Unpaid)   

 

Auditions

Audition on Sunday afternoon January 13 for Florida Dance Festival Scholarships and College and University Dance Programs. Representatives from the following schools will attend the workshop: 

Florida Southern College

Hillsborough Community College Dance Program

Indian River State College

Santa Fe College Fine Arts Department, Dance (possible scholarships offers)

School of Theater and Dance at the University of Florida

University of South Florida (Saturday only)

Showcase

 

Saturday afternoon, January 12 there will be a discussion format performance by participants that will be open to the public. Located at the Florida School of Dance Education.

Please review the following guidelines for the Workshop Informal Showcase Submission Process.

Each institution is allowed to submit ONE piece.

All pieces have a maximum time of 10 minutes - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Please note that all FDA Workshop participants can attend the Informal Showcase for free.
